Go into all the world…

At age 14, Elizabeth Elliot of the missionary-famed book, “Through Gates of Splendor,” spoke at my church. She told the heart-wrenching and brutal story of her husband’s death, along with 4 other missionaries, at the hands of the Acau Indians in South America. She stayed on, along with her young daughter, after their deaths to tell the tribe about Jesus. It was a tremendously brave action! Eventually the whole tribe repented of their sins and turned to salvation through Jesus. Later, they mourned the deaths of the 5 men that tried to bring the message of redemption. As a teenager, I was profoundly touched and changed by her message. Later, I read Elliot’s book. When I finished it, I fell across my bed and wept for one hour. I begged the Lord to send me as a missionary too. And He did! At age 26, my first country to work in was Israel. I went with 30 students from Christ for the Nations to Kibbutz Einat near Petach Tikvah. I stayed for nearly 3 years. Later in life, my husband and I led many short-term trips abroad and finally were sent to Odessa, Ukraine to live after the fall of communism. It has been the deepest privilege of my life to go and share the Gospel and my experiences of knowing God and making Him known. We still travel and love short-term mission trips! Now we are connecting with Pastors Björn and Brita Lütke in Marseille, France, and joining us are Jewish believers with Jews for Jesus, David and Sabra Brickner. Both Wayne and David will be speaking several times to the EPP church here in the port city. We love the French people! Serving the Lord is such a joy. He always gives back much more than what we sacrifice to declare His glory.

Love, love, love your testimony, My Sweet Bonnie ♥️

Jim & Elizabeth Eliot’s story had the same affect on my life.

Wow!!! The power of testimonies reaches further than the person who lived it and told it!

Keep telling it! Love You, Yvonne
