The Bars of Winter

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” Jeremiah 29:11 NAS.

Whatever delays, disappointments, setbacks, or heartaches from your past that are chaffing your soul raw will not hold back the overwhelming blessings, prosperity, favor, and future plans the God of the universe is weaving into your life right now. If you will trust Him in the darkness with lack of clarity, He will make all things new! Take hold of new hope that explodes into faith and brings you into a visible and fruitful plain.

The Hebrew word for hope here is “tikvah” from the ancient root “kavah” meaning to bind together; to expect. The concept is not abstract but tangible as a cord that binds two or more objects. When we exercise hope, we are bound together with the promise of faith and joyful expectation about tomorrow!

Offer the your pain or disappointment to God in prayer. Ask the Lord to reveal the way through this problem that it may be healed and used for good in your life. He will give you steps that may require you to risk, like forgiving someone or asking for forgiveness. Meditate on the scriptures and see what healing God will bring in your life and what a path new beginnings He creates.
