More on Death of Ceremony

Yesterday I wrote about the death of ceremony in American culture in my post titled, Narcissism. I ran across this article shortly afterward which is a small example of the death of ceremony in our culture. Take a look.

I was actually going to comment on that very subject yesterday. Our government is disabling our history right before our eyes! To me, it was an honor having the honor guard at my grand fathers funeral last year. The 21 gun salute. the folding of the flag. Knowing & hearing what they spoke over him. It saddens me greatly that as a nation we are moving away from what we were built on.
Did you know that ‘Laus Deo,’ (‘Praise be to God’), is inscribed on the original cap atop the Washington monument? There is a replica of it in DC, smaller scale, bu the National Park Services have erased it from the replica, so as not to offend. see:http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=58349
