Last night at ten, I went downstairs to let the dog out one more time before bed. I walked out the front door to a winter wonderland. It had been cold all day, and snow was forecasted. By afternoon, I had given up on the idea.
Well, this Colorado gal was pleased to find a front yard full of snow with large, gentle flakes drifting from the dark sky. I snapped a few pictures, knowing it won’t last long.
I wanted to roll in the snow like a dog… only my dog, well, she couldn’t be bothered… She tiptoed like a white ballerina onto the wet whiteness, did her duty, and ran into the warmth and light of home.
And I stayed for awhile, soaking in the winter magic…
Alas, those of us just a few miles south did not receive any of the white pretty stuff 🙂
