Here’s a little preview of our view from the house we have rented in the mountains of Cyprus. It was just taken from a phone: so after we arrive, I will post better.
Still, I think you get the idea. Nice… huh? I’ll be drinking my Ethiopian coffee at this cute little table in the mornings…
A dear friend has been nogotiating for us with the landlady, and today he was at the house, checked it out, and sent this photo. He said the place is lovely, so we are eager. We are so grateful and looking forward to settling in the moutains and the Cypriot community for about two months.
Cyprus is one of my favorite places on earth, with the juxtaposition of the ancient and modern, the beauty of the beach and mountians, quaint village towns, amazing cuisine, sunshine, wonderful people… I can go on…
Well, see you on the other side of the ocean in a day or two…

Hmm, I’m a bit jealous! I went to Greece twice this past year … the first time on a “vacation with a purpose” … a chance to visit the places Paul of the New Testament visited in Greece. The second visit was a mission trip to provide a professional development workshop for teachers in a Christian private school just outside of Athens. We have missionary friends in Athens. I love Greece, hope to go back in the near future … and tour a few of the surrounding islands. I look forward to your posts.
WOW! That is beautiful! So beautiful, like a post card vacation type. Wow! very excited for you and can’t wait to hear all that G-d does.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. There are few things as rewarding and exciting as travel! We are blessed and privileged to do a little each year. Cyprus, however, is one of my favorite nations. I like it better than Greece, but only a little! HA! It is amazing the gifts that God has betowed on each people group and then to participate and receive in those gifts… what a joy!
can’t wait to see you! i think you will be happy with the house. the view is still my favorite of our mountain.
I already miss you soooooo much!! Think of me as you drink your coffee and remember our warm, toasty, back porch. You will love this place, I know. Enjoy every moment.
