I bought a season’s greetings gift for myself…
These beautiful, hand-blown glass balls grace my dining room table now…
I found them on the side of the road in an open market in an Arab village. They are really fragile though. Three got broken before they reached the safety of the table top. My husband stumbled up the stairs and cracked one, and I broke two as I washed them.
They are a good reminder of the beauty and fragility of life here on the cusp of the new beginning of 2010…
“Beauty and fragility of life” good word. You always find a message in the simplest of activities. This is good.
Reminds me of the song “I’m forever blowing bubbles…”
