Sugar-Plum Fairies and Matzo-Ball Soup

St. Petersburg, Russia, was founded by Czar Peter I in 1703. One of the most beautiful cities in the world the place shines at night. Many of the buildings are lit up, displaying the gorgeous, ornate architecture. It was really cold last night, but we drove and walked around and enjoyed a night-light city tour.

I have been here several times…

This is the famous square where the February Revolution began against the monarchy in 1917. The Czar’s palace, now the Hermitage Museum, is to the left.

Another view of the famous Hermitage.

It is like a fairy tale come true here…

I went to sleep dreaming of sugar-plum fairies… and well, matzo-ball soup… since it’s Passover!
