One of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area is Joe T. Garcias. If you are in the area, try it. I found these facts fascinating:

1. 1800 number of seats in the restaurant and most weekends every one is filled

2. They have catered parties for Elvis and Michael Jackson……….whoop te doo!!

3. 550 gallons of salsa made and served in a week

4. 275 pounds of refried beans served every day

5. 1500 family style dinners served on a typical Saturday

6. 1935 when the Garcia family opened the restaurant and are still running it

7. 2000 pounds of cheddar cheese served every week

8. 18,000 tortillas hand rolled and served every week with 5 people making them at a time
