She Won’t Stay Long

Spring is fickle.
Sometimes she shows
up for the party early,

dressed in the most
colorful buds and blooms
of the season.

But she doesn’t stay
the day. She goes home
right after dawn,

but don’t worry.
Spring will return
with her sister, Summer,

who will upstage her.
But Spring won’t mind;
she’s humble that way!
