Celebrating 1000 Hits on One Post!

Today I am celebrating 1000 hits on one post!

I started writing  my blog, Culture vs Content, last August. It is totally amazing to me that one particular post, written on September 20, 2007, has received a total of 1000 hits just today: Light as (is) Art. I kept noticing that it was getting quite a few hits day after day, and then I checked the stats. It had been growing steadily since September and now at 1000!

Thank you to all my family, friends, and readers who find me here each day–blowing off steam, pondering, musing, scribbling, drooling…

I am so grateful to all of you! Thanks for visiting. And thanks for coming back.

If you are as surprised as I am or just plain curious about this popular post, take a peek here. And by the way, the distance second is Albert Einstein and Jesus at 325 hits. And the post that has received the most comments is My Life Happened in that Room at 44.

I have connected with people from United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Sweden, India, Israel, New Zealand, Cyprus, and the good ole Land of Uncle Sam.

Now I am just a small potatoes blogger, and I realize these numbers are nothing for some big-time blogger stats out there. But in my small world today, I am lighting a sparkler.

  1. David,

Thank you. I owe any success to you–who taught me to blog!

David, I love the work of JMW Turner. He has been a long-time favorite of mine. Considered the the father of modern art and a master at depicting light, I had planned on following up the post on “Light as Art” with a post about Turner. And I still hope to soon.

    Thanks for the encouragement,
