Slather the Color…

Nobody of any real culture, for instance, ever talks nowadays about the beauty of sunset. Sunsets are quite old fashioned. To admire them is a distinct sign of provincialism of temperament. Upon the other hand they go on.  –Oscar Wilde

I snapped this picture from the Sunset Cafe in Paphos two weeks ago while in Cyprus. I never tire of sunsets [or sunrises] anywhere on earth. I see each one with new eyes. Here the sun melted into the Mediterranean Sea in hues of blood orange, scarlet, gold, and pink. The ending of a day I loved…

I wanted to slather the color on my body… or eat it… instead I branded the moment upon my soul.
