It was 96 degrees F yesterday in Jerusalem. Hot. We took a morning walk to beat the heat but were dripping wet by eight. No orange pumpkin patches or flaming red oaks or hot apple cider, chili, zucchini bread, or caramel apples either. No sweaters or jackets or cords. We are still in sandals and tank tops! Not a sign of autumn… just some dying flowers and dead brown leaves blown by the hot, desert wind.
Is this normal weather, or a heat wave this time of year? At least you’ll be escaping it for a while soon, and perhaps when you return the rains will start….think cool 🙂
