haiku: the moon tonight

It’s still magic, that

silver moon hanging in the

dark with contancy.

I feel the ages

in your soft light, those who

looked with wonder too.

Time erodes youth and

beauty; but gentle moonlight

mellows life’s edges.

You are in the moon

tonight–though I can’t see you–

I know you are there.

The silver moon gleams

against the night, reflection

of greater burning.

  1. Bonnie, I love this verse:

    “Time erodes youth and

    beauty; but gentle moonlight

    mellows life’s edges.”

    You truly are beautiful!
