Yesterday was glorious, clear and sunny and warm. Perfect. We took a long walk to the downtown area of Estes Park, sat by the bubbling white water river, drank espressos, read, soaking in the rays, visited as couples do… very memorable. Colorful Colorado
Our road trip keeps rolling. The beauty and majesty of Yellowstone blew us away. Over two days, we drove slowly through the park for 12 hours total and just scratched the surface. The mountains, marsh lands, sagebrush flatlands, lakes, streams, forests, geysers, and wildlife exceeded our expectations. We didn’t see one bear. Bummer. But next…
Ancient of Days!

Grand Teton
We spent the night in Jackson, WY, and we love this mountain town. Very quaint. Very mountain culture-y. Lots of colorful, free spirits around here. Being among the mountains these last few days make my Colorado blood want to buy a piece of land on the side of a gorgeous hill and build a home….
Jackson Hole

We are continuing our road trip. We spent the last eight days in Redding, California at a marriage seminar. It was impacting and refreshing. Today we packed up the car and drove to Reno through the Sierra Nevada Mountain range.

Bruise reed, shivering upon the wall, cast your wound into the sea’s deepest part, salve in its forgiving depths. Justice slept in your seed and awoke to plane the unequal surface square. ~bsw
Texas, Tornadoes, and Trips
One thing about Texas the spring weather can be crazy with cold and warm air fronts clashing and bringing strong wind storms, thunder and rain, hail, and sometimes tornadoes. I have lived here off and on since 1975 and have had to take cover — or the best cover I could — during near-by tornadoes…
