After our scrumptuous four-course meal last evening, we hit the pillows again like bricks. Another nine hours for us! We are setting records here! I think Germany agrees with us, or we are exhausted and letting down enough to really sleep. Maybe both. I sat on the sofa and Wayne lied in bed and read the…

A Lesson from the Grape
Researchers and vineyard owners have discovered over centuries of practice that moderately watered, distressed grapes will produce the sweetest clusters and the best wine! Here is one article about the process. That tidbit of knowledge sparked a spiritual parallel. I thought about the Scripture, Psalm 84:11: “The Lord gives grace and glory, no good thing does he withhold…
German Wine Country
We flew from Budapest to Frankfurt yesterday, rented a car, and just look off down the road on our way for ministry that Wayne has. My husband likes living on the edge. We didn’t have hotel reservations–just a map and a lot of spirit of adventure. We ended up in the quaint village of Weinwiller….
Lions of Budapest
There are many carved lions scattered throughout the architechture of Budapest–statues, fountains, faces, doorknobs… One day I would love to take photos of just the lions around the city. I especially liked this one as a fountain, located near Vaci Street in an open square. Living water from the belly of the Lion of Judah!
Budapest Breakfast
Wayne has meetings all day, so we rose early and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast overlooking the river.
Budapest Beautiful at Night
The Danube River and the bridges are lit up so beautifully at night. This is the view from our hotel. We ate a late supper looking out the window at the Parliament and the Chain Bridge. Lousy photo of the Parliament building from across the river. Still, I love the ethereal quality and sense of an…
Rainy Budapest!
We had the kind of flight that is perfect–uneventful! We were so tired from the past few weeks of business and “giving out,” we arrived extra exhausted. I will take a “collapse” day and may not even get out of our hotel room. My husband does not have that privilege. It was raining when we…
On the Road Again
Chain Bridge in Budapest My husband and I leave today for Europe. We will be in Hungary and Germany, possibly France. I will be taking photos and journaling as we go. Budapest is especially beautiful with the Danube River dividing the city, Buda on one side and Pest on the other… See you on the…
Out of the Left Lane…
Sweetly broke the dawn this morning on Possum Kingdom Lake. A group of friends met at the lake house of mutual friends. We just got away for a day, spent the night on the lake, enjoyed a day together, reminiscing, visiting, catching up, laughing, telling stories on each other, and laughing some more. We spent a leisurely morning…
