Flying Home…

We leave for Miami shortly, spend the night, and then on to Texas. This trip has been too much to process in a few short days. It will take a few months to unpack a few of the eternal purposes, but it has been a good beginning. We will return, the Lord willing, next year….

Tacos, Steeples, and Synagogues…

We took a city tour yesterday. When I came home, I was so disappointed in my photos. I just wasn’t on top of it and missed some good opportunities–just too much on my mind otherwise, I guess. Really it is not like me to miss photos ops… Today we will meet with Julia’s family again….

They have visited congregations, schools, medical clinics and orphanages, and it has been an amazing trip. I am so…

And the Tears Flowed…

Erev Shabbat settled with peace… the kind that radiates from deep within… the kind that bubbles up with hope and contentment–regardless of life’s circumstances or situation. More than the soft glow of candles lit the room, an incandescent illumination radiated from the hearts of the family and friends gathered at the table. The evening shone…

The Faith of a Post-Modern Man

My parents on their 60th wedding anniversary last January. This is really sad but true. The word “faith” has a negative connotation in our culture today. On the network or cable channels, people of faith are portrayed as a guy in lime green pants with an orange plaid flannel shirt with a navy blue down…
